General

1.1    These terms and conditions set out an agreement between you and FurBabies PetCare.

1.2   We will treat your personal information confidentially and will not pass on your details to any 3rd parties other than the pet sitters.

1.3   FurBabies PetCare reserves the right to modify, add or remove parts of these terms and conditions by posting amendments. Please periodically check these terms and conditions for changes. Booking of services after posting changes will be deemed as acceptance to such changes.

1.4   FurBabies PetCare holds public liability insurance;Myself and family/ friend are insured for the safe care and transportation of your pet(s). It is the Clients responsibility to ensure the property, contents and pets are adequately insured.

1.5 All clients will be deemed to have accepted FurBabies PetCare terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the PetCare form.

1.6 Price changes - Prices will be reviewed annually and amended If required. We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time.  

 

Meet & Greet

2.1    FurBabies PetCare will arrange a free 'Meet and Greet' session that will last around 30 mins, with all new Clients, before any petcare services are booked. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s) and for them to meet us. During the meet and greet, we will discuss your requirements and your pet(s) daily routine.

2.2    Before or after the 'Meet and Greet', you can fill out the petcare form which I can email, text or can be found on 'Services' page on the website. This must be filled out before a pet care service takes place.

2.3    If everyone is happy we can proceed onto the next step of booking in the pet care service you require.

2.4    FurBabies PetCare reserve the right to refuse services to any dog deemed dangerous or aggressive.

Payment

3.1    Once dates and times are confirmed for the pet care service you require, an Invoice will be sent.    

3.2    Any pet care service are subject to a 50% non-refundable deposit payable in advance (within 48 hours of invoice being sent) to secure booking or can be paid in full (50% of that will be non-refundable, If cancelled or rescheduled at anytime).

3.3    Final balance to be paid by Invoice payment due date or before. A reminder will be sent on due date. 

3.4    FurBabies PetCare accepts payment via Bank Transfer or cash payment can be arranged; Account details can be found on the invoice.

3.5    Bank holidays are charged at x1.5 the rate, with the exception of Christmas - New Year period will be charged at twice the daily rate for all services.

3.6   If you arrive home before the confirmed end date you will not receive a refund.

3.7   If late / over the hours booked, you will be expected to pay an additional amount. Either per hour or half day rate or full day rate depending on pet care service undertaken. You will be Invoiced for this.

3.8   We also charge various rates for care of puppies (up to 18 months) and dogs/cats with mobility and incontinence problems/ medicated pets/ behavioural issues and for peak/off peak seasons.

3.9   Payment to be made upfront the week prior for weekly or monthly recurring bookings. If any are added on, I can then Invoice end of the week/month. 

3.10 For sitting or boarding payment must be made one month prior to pet care service taking place.

3.11 Please be aware prices are subject to change, see 'Services' page or enquire for prices.

3.12 Booking is not secured until deposit or full payment is made. If not paid within 48 hours, the booking date/time will be available for other clients to book. I have the right to take these bookings.  

 

Late Payment

4.1    If payment is not made by invoice payment due date, a late payment fee of £5 will be charged per day.

4.2    I also have the right to cancel the pet care service and take other bookings, If Invoice hasn't been paid on time.

 

Cancellations

5.1    For Pet Sitting or Boarding; 50% of your payment will be refunded If cancelled 28 days prior to start of booking period or the booking can be rescheduled (used as credit) within the next 6 months, subject to availability - otherwise there will be no refund If notice hasn't been given in time. All fees less then the non-refundable amount will be refunded or held for subsequent bookings.

5.2    Dog walking services/ drop in visits/ puppy visits and hourly sits (any short term services): If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the scheduled service start date that will be charged in full/ no refund. You will need to make and pay for a new booking. If another date is required unless told before the 48 hour period to reschedule/ adjust pet care service or time depending on FurBabies PetCare availability. Preferably for the week or month of petcare service.

5.3   50% deposit is non-refundable, at any time or due to any circumstance for all petcare services. 

5.4   In the rare occasion that I have to cancel due to ill health or adverse weather, I will reschedule your pet care service where possible or get cover from a member of the team and give as much notice as I can.

Booking

6.1   To make a booking please send me your required petcare service, dates and start/end times.

6.2   Last Minute Bookings, please contact us via Whatsapp, email or socials. Where the request is made on the same day, as the booking required. Payment will need to made straight away. Non-Refundable.

6.3    For pet sitting or boarding overnight, It will be a daily rate charge, this means 2 day minimum charge - If pick up / drop off is after Midday there a full day/ half day rate will be charged or hourly rate charge depending on service.

6.4   Late pick up will incur in a small fee being charged- If house sitting,  I can lock up and leave or If I don't have another pet care service to attend, can stay until your back at an extra charge.

 

Pet Emergencies

7.1    If an emergency occurs or your pet suddenly falls ill, FurBabies PetCare will contact you or your emergency contact, if you are unavailable. Where possible FurBabies PetCare will take your pet to the Clients’ registered vet; However, if deemed necessary that we will take your pet to the closest veterinary practice.

7.2    The client is responsible for settling all fees incurred with the vet directly before collecting your pet.

7.3    FurBabies PetCare cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

 

Service Area

8.1  FurBabies PetCare cover Welwyn Garden City / Cheshunt and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire upto a radius of 5 miles. Service requests outside this area will incur a £0.50 charge per mile per round trip.

8.2  FurBabies PetCare also have staff that cover Greenford +5 miles of the surrounding area.

Your Pet(s)

9.1  The Client is responsible to inform FurBabies PetCare of any behavioural concerns including aggression, that may affect the dogs suitability for walking/ sitting or boarding. The Client accepts full liability and payment for any damage to property or possessions, to other animals or loss caused by their dog.

9.2  FurBabies PetCare may ask for paid trial walks/ overnight sits/ hourly care to carefully assess suitability and behaviour.

9.3  As per kennel club and veterinary recommendations, puppy’s should only receive 5 minutes of walking per month of age, twice daily. 

9.4   Adult dogs may be left 4-6 hours at one time, to attend other pet care services such as dog walks and drop in visits ect. If a 24/7 service is needed (won't be left alone at all), FurBabies PetCare offer a hourly petcare service.

9.5   You undertake to make a full disclosure of any quality and/or characteristic which might make your dog unsuitable for home sitting/boarding or walking, including, but not limited to behavioural and/or health problems , anti-social behaviour including aggression, incontinence /lack of housetraining and/or excessive loud barking/whining. Failure on your part to disclose any matter which might render your pet unsuitable for home sitting/boarding and/or walking will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of this agreement. You will also be liable for additional costs and future bookings cancelled if FurBabies PetCare experience difficulties due to failure to disclose in the booking form any matter that would be accepted as unreasonably unsuitable for home sitting/boarding or walking. This may also lead you to  collect your pets ASAP/ or your emergency contact or they may be placed in kennel care and those costs will need to be covered.

9.6   You agree to supply enough food / treats for the duration of your pet(s) stay. If insufficient food is supplied you agree to reimburse FurBabies PetCare - this may also include petrol costs. Additionally lead, collar, bedding/crate/pen, bowls, toys, poo bags will also need to be supplied - unless otherwise stated.

9.7   You agree to keep us informed of any changes to your pet.

9.8   FurBabies PetCare cannot be held responsible for any loss of pets that have access to an open cat flaps.

9.9   Information that has been submitted by you on the petcare form/s will be used as a guideline for all subsequent bookings, unless we are notified in writing that there has been a change in your contact details/address/pets conditions or requirements.

 

Vaccinations

10.1  The Client agrees their pet(s) are clean and groomed condition, microchipped, ID tag, insured and with up to date vaccinations, de-flead, tick and anti-worming treatments given. 

10.2    The Client accepts there is no guarantee there is no risk of disease, and is fully responsible to ensure their pet(s) are appropriately protected against the risk of disease.

 

Keys and the Home

11.1  FurBabies PetCare will arrange key collection / drop off with you prior to pet care service.

11.2   You will find key options on pet care form.   

11.3   The Client can collect/ drop off their keys by prior arrangement with FurBabies PetCare. Alternatively FurBabies PetCare provide a key service for a small fee of £5.00 plus petrol If more than 5 miles away. Paid in cash on collection of key. 

11.4   I agree that by signing the pet care form this will indemnify FurBabies PetCare in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present and future circumstances. Please supply adequate cleaning supplies. FurBabies PetCare are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s).

11.5   If you have a camera activated in the home please deactivate this. As it's a breach of privacy.

11.6   I will leave your property, clean and tidy as you left it.

11.7   It is your responsibility to insure your property and your pet/s. You will need to arrange with your Household Insurer to cover the pet sitter for the dates they will be in your home. We accept no liability for damage caused by your pet during an assignment. You will be liable in the event that a pet sitter or a 3rd party is injured by your pet.

11.8   FurBabies PetCare are covered by public liability insurance with Productivity Insurance including family members that help me with pet care and DBS checked.

11.9 Any damage to property or possessions done to FurBabies PetCare homes, will incur in a charge that the clients must pay.

Parking

12.1  If the Client lives in a restricted parking zone, permits may need to be provided to FurBabies PetCare. This will be evaluated as necessary.

12.2   If there's no free and easily accessible place to park nearby, client must pay for parking and advise where to park.

 

Media

13.1  Unless the Client states otherwise,  FurBabies PetCare will take photos of your pet(s) during their activities. These may be used on the website and social media pages.

13.2  Written feedback from the Client may be used for marketing purposes on the FurBabies PetCare website and socials.

 

Walking Equipment

14.1  It is the Clients responsibility to ensure their pet(s) have a suitable collar and ID tag with the Clients details. The Client is to advise FurBabies PetCare if any specific training aids are used, Harness, Halti, Figure of 8 lead, Muzzle. FurBabies PetCare will not be held responsible for the damage or loss of any leads, harnesses or training aids.

14.2  If any of FurBabies PetCare equipment is damaged by your pet, the client will need to pay for a replacement.

 

Walking Off-Lead

15.1  FurBabies PetCare will only walk dogs off-lead, where the Client has provided prior consent to do so by signing the Off-Lead disclaimer form. FurBabies PetCare reserves the right to place dogs on-lead when deemed necessary and If near any roads.

15.2 FurBabies PetCare will use long line leads, to confirm recall is established before letting dogs off-lead for the first time and do a few walks before letting them off so they are comfortable and make sure thy listen to my commands.

15.2    If dogs are strong, pull a lot or have any signs of aggression to other dogs - a paid trial walk will be essential. Same goes for trial boarding nights to insure, they fit in well and are comfortable in a new environment.

Weather

16.1  The well-being of all pets is our utmost priority, if adverse weather such as extreme heat, storms, ice or snow threatens to compromise safety for your pet(s) or myself, FurBabies PetCare reserves the right to cut short or substitute the walking activity with an indoor service.

 

Pet Waste

17.1  FurBabies PetCare will dispose of your pet(s) waste, when out on a walk.

17.2  For cat litter trays & small animal cages/hutches we request that you provide all necessary items such as scooper, litter/bedding and disposal bags. Please inform where you would like the waste bags disposed of.

Member of the team
18.1 You agree not to negotiate directly with any member of the team introduced by FurBabies PetCare.

18. 2 You agree to make all future bookings serviced by our team through FurBabies PetCare.
